1. Eligibility and Age Verification
To use LeafPlaza, you must reside in an EU or EFTA country and meet the minimum age required by your local laws to enter into a binding agreement. In the EU and EFTA, you must be at least 16 years old to use our services without parental consent, in accordance with GDPR. If you are under 16, you must have your parent or guardian’s permission to use LeafPlaza.
The United Kingdom and other European countries
We aim to provide our services in all of Europe. However, we must do it while ensuring our EU strategic autonomy. We will be reviewing our options in the future.
- The UK and Gibraltar: at this point, thanks to Brexit, we cannot confidently provide this service in the UK. We are reviewing our options to change this in the future.
- Russia, Belarus: The existing Rule of Law in these countries could affect our EU strategic autonomy.
- Ukraine, Moldova, Andorra, Albania, etc.: We will be reviewing each case separately.
We have no plans to extend support to countries outside Europe (e.g. Canada or the US).
2. Account Registration and Responsibilities

User Content
“Content” means anything you share on LeafPlaza, including posts, profile details, photos, videos, feedback, suggestions, links, and direct messages.
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your Content. You agree that your Content will comply with all applicable laws and with the LeafPlaza Community Guidelines. LeafPlaza is not obligated to actively monitor or control your Content.

Important Note on AT Protocol Exposure:
When you share Content on LeafPlaza, it will be exposed to the AT Protocol, which is used by Bluesky and other AT Protocol providers. These providers may further expose your Content to third parties that we are not aware of and cannot control. LeafPlaza is not responsible for how your Content is used, shared, or displayed by other services or providers on the AT Protocol. We recommend that you only share Content that you are comfortable being publicly accessible and potentially used by others outside of LeafPlaza.
This license enables us to support core platform functionality and to ensure LeafPlaza remains safe, responsive, and engaging for everyone. We will never sell your Content without getting your permission first.

- User-Requested Deletion: If you request the deletion of your account or Content, we will remove your Content from LeafPlaza immediately, in compliance with GDPR.
- Subscription End: If your paid subscription ends, we will retain your user data for up to one year from the end of your subscription, unless you explicitly request deletion. After this period, we will use reasonable efforts to remove your Content from LeafPlaza.
- Decentralized Content: Due to the decentralized nature of the AT Protocol, we cannot control or force other services and Developer Applications on the AT Protocol to treat your Content in a particular way, and some posts may continue to exist on these services that are outside our control.
5. Data Protection and Privacy
Summary: Your data is protected by EU laws. We do not sell or exploit your private data.

7. Third-Party Services and Providers
Summary: LeafPlaza is committed to using only EU/EFTA-based and GDPR-compliant third-party services in our environments.
EU/EFTA-Only Third Parties
LeafPlaza prioritizes the use of third-party services, providers, and integrations that are based in the EU or EFTA and fully comply with GDPR. We do not share your data with third parties outside the EU/EFTA unless explicitly required by law or with your explicit consent.
Bluesky and AT Protocol Third Parties
While LeafPlaza is committed to EU/EFTA-only third parties, some services and providers within the Bluesky network and the broader AT Protocol ecosystem may be based outside the EU/EFTA. We aim to identify and, whenever possible, remove or replace such third parties with EU/EFTA alternatives. Where removal is not possible, we will provide users with clear information and, where feasible, choices between non-EU/EFTA and EU/EFTA-compliant alternatives.
Your Rights and Transparency
You have the right to know which third-party services are used in connection with LeafPlaza. We will provide information about these services in our Privacy Policy and, upon request, at info@leafplaza.eu.
8. Community Guidelines
At the moment, we follow the same community guidelines as Bluesky. We aim to expand these guidelines in the future, based on EU/EFTA specific needs.
9. Proactive Moderation, Illegal Content & Child Safety standards
We proactively use automated tools and human moderation to detect and act on prohibited content. LeafPlaza prioritizes the swift removal of terrorism content, child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) content, and other priority illegal content. We also rely on user reports, trusted flaggers, law enforcement reports, and reports we receive from NGOs and civil society.
At the moment, LeafPlaza relies on Bluesky’s moderation setup too. Our aim is in the future to replace this dependency with an EU autonomous solution.
Report any related incident through: info@leafplaza.eu

Our Right to Terminate
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your Account—or specific features of LeafPlaza—at any time, without prior notice, if:
- You violate these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, or Copyright Policy;
- We are legally required to do so, such as by court order or regulatory demand;
- We believe that your continued access poses a risk to LeafPlaza, to other users, or to third parties.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
